It started a week before Thanksgiving of 2007

I went to the UPS Store (#4362) on the corner of Bradshaw and Old Placerville Road in Sacramento, CA to ship a Web Server to Coalinga. Not a huge task. This would be one week to the day from the time the pics are taken.

I drop off the server on Wednesday, October 14th to be delivered by Friday the 16th. I was assured it would get there, "No problem. Would you like to insure it?" Why not .... So I did for $800.00.

I get a call from my partner in Coalinga Friday ... "No server ...Do I have a tracking number?" I gave him the tracking number and he put a trace on it. Found out it made it's way to Oakland and then was put back on a truck to Sacramento instead of Coalinga. So were told the new receiving date would be Wednesday the 21st.

What happened to customer service!?!?!

Weekend goes by and Monday morning I called the store. I told the sells person (I use the term loosely) I wanted to come down and file a complaint. She said OK. When I get there she was very rude and did her Statue of Liberty impression telling me how I have to call customer service to file an insurance report. So why didn't she tell me that BEFORE I drove there? So I drove home and called customer service. They told me I had to file at the store I shipped from. I explained to them I just came from the store and they told me customer service did the report. She said they obviously don't know what to do at that store. I also complained about the attitude of the morning sales person and they took a report. They said the store owner, Ty Nygen, would call me. (He still has not called to this day 2-8-08) So I go back the next day and a different sales person could not understand why she didn't take the report, so he did.

Wednesday afternoon I get a call from my partner. "Where's the server?" We call UPS .. "It's lost." WHAT?!?!? You mean to tell me it grew legs and ran away? I call customer service, again, and tell them I want my server back. Later that afternoon I'm sitting in my living room and hear a truck pull up outside my house. IT'S UPS!! What the F'??? The driver gets out and literally drops the server on my porch and runs back to his truck and yells over his shoulder, "I don't need to talk to you" and drives off. What about me wanting to talk to him? I could hear the parts of my server flopping around as he is bringing it up to the porch. UPS really needs to get their act together. Come to find out later they were supposed to deliver it back to the store I shipped it from.

I open the box to the horror above. My server is trashed, it was supposed to be in Coalinga Friday for a Saturday web site opening, which we ultimately lost due solely to this fiasco, now they won't give me my insurance money. They said the packing was insufficient. It is the same type packing I always have used and never had any trouble. The fact that it went cross country three times might have something to do with it.

There is gross negligence here and UPS doesn't seem to care. This was not a monumental task. I could have, walked it there in a week.

!!NEVER USE UPS AGAIN!!.

I have been fighting this to this day () and I still do not have my insurance money they own me. They refused to even call me. I am going to call Kurtis from Channel 13 and Call 3 from the Sacramento area. This UPS store is located in Rancho Cordova.
